Chincoteague Wild Horse Series – 100th Anniversary Event
This summer, I’m honored to attend the 100th Anniversary of the Chincoteague Pony Swim, a living legacy of wild beauty and coastal heritage. In celebration, I’ll be joining the employees of Boarhog LLC for a community barbecue gathering, and I’ll take part in the unforgettable Pony Run water cruise with Captain Casey’s Island Cruises, where we’ll witness the historic swim from the water’s edge.
Inspired by the raw spirit of these wild horses and the storied island itself, I’ve created a special encaustic painting series honoring the Chincoteague ponies. These works will be available for purchase during the Pony Swim Festival, capturing the energy, endurance, and grace of this rare American tradition.
This project blends my lifelong love of animals, wild landscapes, and storytelling through paint and wax—each piece a tribute to survival, memory, and myth.
